Terms of Service

This agreement

These terms apply when you use InkScribe at www.inkscribe.com.ng. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use InkScribe.

What InkScribe does

InkScribe helps you write a project report or proposal: an editor laid out in your department’s format, a writing assistant that drafts and revises sections when you ask, references found and checked against publication records, diagrams, export to Word and PDF, and a paid plagiarism and AI check.

Your account

• Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• An account is for one person. Don’t share it or sell access to it.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Your work and academic integrity

• Your report is your responsibility. Read, check and understand everything in it before you submit it, and make it your own.
• Follow your institution’s and supervisor’s rules on AI tools. If your school doesn’t allow a use of InkScribe, don’t use it that way.
• Results, measurements and survey findings must come from your own work. Where InkScribe leaves a placeholder for your data or photographs, fill it with what you actually found and made. Never present invented data as real.
• InkScribe does not guarantee any grade, approval or outcome from your institution.

AI writing and references

• Text written by AI can contain mistakes, out-of-date statements or wording that doesn’t fit your project. Check it as you would any draft.
• Every reference InkScribe adds is checked against publication records, so it points to a paper that exists. Whether a paper supports the sentence it is cited for is for you to confirm.
• A plagiarism and AI check shows how your text compares with the sources the checker can reach and how likely it is to read as AI-written. It is a guide, not a guarantee of what your institution’s own tools will report.

Your content

Your reports, uploads and the text written in your account belong to you. You allow InkScribe to store, copy, process and send them to the providers described in the Privacy Policy, only to run the service for you. That permission ends when you delete them or your account, apart from copies kept for a limited time as the Privacy Policy explains.

Only upload material you have the right to use. InkScribe’s software, design and brand remain ours.

Plans and payments

• Plans, boosts and checks are one-off payments in naira at the prices on the pricing page. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• Payments are processed by Bachs. What you buy is added to your account once the payment is confirmed.
• Allowances such as references, AI writing and plagiarism checks belong to your account and are used up as you use them. They can’t be exchanged for cash or moved to another account.
• If a plagiarism check fails, its credit is returned to your account automatically.
• If you were charged but didn’t get what you paid for, contact us and we will put it right or refund you.
• We may change prices. A change never affects something you have already paid for.

Refer & earn

• Joining is by application. We review each one and may approve or decline it.
• When an account is created within 60 days of opening your link, you earn 10% of every payment that account makes while you are in the programme.
• Earnings are held for 7 days, then become available. You can request a payout to a Nigerian bank account once ₦5,000 is available.
• Referring yourself, buying through your own link, creating fake accounts, spamming your link or misleading people about InkScribe isn’t allowed. We may remove anyone who does, and earnings from those referrals are not paid.
• We may suspend an account in the programme while we look into unusual activity.
• We may change or end the programme. Earnings that are already available when that happens will still be paid.

Using InkScribe fairly

Don’t use InkScribe to:

• break the law, or write content that is hateful, harassing or meant to deceive;
• get around plan allowances or limits, for example with several accounts;
• attack, overload, probe or copy the service, or scrape it with automated tools;
• resell InkScribe or give other people access to your account;
• upload material you have no right to use.

Changes and availability

We work to keep InkScribe running and your work safe, and your reports are saved to your account as you write. The service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering InkScribe altogether, we will give you notice and time to download your reports.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you the chance to download your reports first.

Our responsibility

We provide InkScribe with care, but as a tool “as it is”. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, for academic decisions made by your institution, or for losses caused by content you submit. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid InkScribe in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there is a dispute, contact us first and we will try to resolve it with you.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will tell you by email or in InkScribe before they take effect. Using InkScribe after that means you accept the new terms.
